REQUIRED GEAR
✔ Serviceable semi-auto rifle with optic/iron sights
(Red dot or LPVO recommended. Rough zero is okay as long as you are on paper at 25 yards. We will confirm zero in class.)
✔ Good sling
(Two-point sling preferred. Single-point acceptable depending on setup.)
✔ 6 rifle magazines
Must carry at least 1 rifle magazine on your battle belt.
Must be able to carry a minimum of 4 rifle magazines on your plate carrier or chest rig.
(Plate carrier, chest rig, battle belt, quick-attach pouches, or other secure magazine-carry methods are fine.)
✔ Full kit setup
Chest rig or plate carrier is required. Battle belt is optional, but strongly preferred.
At minimum, you need magazine pouches on your belt for:
1 rifle magazine
1 pistol magazine
1 pistol holster
Bring the gear you actually intend to train with.
✔ Helmet, if you have one
(Optional, but recommended if it is part of your normal kit.)
✔ Serviceable semi-auto pistol with optic/iron sights
(Red dot should be zeroed. Iron sights as backup recommended.)
✔ Pistol holster
Acceptable: OWB duty-style holster, belt-mounted holster, or other secure holster compatible with your kit.
NOT allowed: small of the back, pocket carry, ankle carry, or off-body carry.
✔ Clothing
Wear clothing that works with your kit. Athletic or range-appropriate clothing is recommended.
Battle dress uniforms, combat uniforms, combat shirts, tactical shirts — bring them all. Train in what you can realistically move, shoot, and work in.
✔ Electronic hearing protection
✔ Sturdy belt / battle belt
(Must support your holster, magazine pouches, and any gear you plan to run.)
✔ 240 rounds of rifle ammo / 150 rounds of pistol ammo
✔ Water
(Mandatory — hydration is critical for performance, especially while wearing kit.)
✔ Note-taking gear
(For class insights, gear notes, and drills.)
✔ PMA
(Positive Mental Attitude)
